Up From the Basement
Along with Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton at the helm spinning discs, the Jaxx bring with them a slew of singers, dancers, backing musicians, and a few surprises.
The Jaxx’s sophomore album, Rooty, has been nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize 2001 in the U.K. Singles from the record have been riding at the top of Billboard’s dance charts and are rapidly becoming a mainstay in clubs worldwide.
Hailed by critics and fans alike as the saviors of dance music, Basement Jaxx formed in the mid-‘90s in South London. After remixing songs and producing a handful of EP’s, they released their full-length debut, Remedy, in 1999.
Rounding up their North American tour on October 20, the Jaxx head back across the pond where they cruise through Europe November 1 – December 16.
