The latest leg of the Elevation Tour kicks off October 10 at University of Notre Dame in Indiana, followed by dates in Montreal, Hamilton, Chicago, Baltimore, New York City, East Rutherford, Providence, Philadelphia, Austin, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Oakland and Las Vegas.

A good chunk of the tickets are general admission floor seats priced at about $45. Other seats will be available at the $85 and $130 golden-circle levels.

The Elevation Tour, in support of U2’s latest album, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, has grossed approximately $105 million worldwide, putting the band in strong contention for top grossing act for 2001.

At this point, U2 has played 50 dates in North America, which they followed with a 33-date European tour. Incidentally, all shows have been completely sold out – a major factor in their decision to return Stateside.

Compared to Pop Mart and Zoo TV, the Elevation outing is almost minimalist. Gone are the multistory video screens and in its place, a bare stage and a heart-shaped catwalk that allows Bono to interact more intimately with fans.
