The Nashville Symphony Orchestra will back the couple on the 13-arena event, which runs November 30 to December 16th. Bluegrass trio Nickel Creek and contemporary Christian artist Rachael Lampas round out the bill.

Headliners Gill and Grant plenty of experience on their own holiday tours but this is their first holiday outing together. As solo artists, their Christmas albums have sold a combined total of more nine million records.

Nickel Creek has been getting a lot of positive attention after playing together for 10 years. The threesome won the International Bluegrass Music Association’s emerging artist of the year for 2000 (the group is up for entertainer of the year and a couple of others this year) and has been winning audiences on the road.

Vocal prodigy Rachael Lampa, 15, released her debut album onWord Records last year but her live performances have been mostly limited to television since she’s still attending high school in Colorado.

The tour is partnering with child relief organization Compassion International, which benefits children in poverity internationally.

Tickets go on sale October 13 in most markets. The Nashville show goes on sale date is October 20 and Philadelphia follows on the 22nd.
