Maxwell’s new tour starts October 20 and wraps up December 10, with newcomer RES in the support slot October 27-30.

New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Houston are the five lucky cities to get the sexy soulman for two nights each.

Having taken the past two years off, Maxwell is making up for lost time. His third album, Now, was released at the end of August and hit the charts at No.1.

He started the summer playing smaller theatres and gradually moved up to larger capacity venues. The strategy seems to have paid off well; virtually every show sold out – with or without the help of red-hot Keys.

RES, like Keys, is a classically trained vocalist. Before launching her own album, How Do I, which was released in June, RES started her official music career by singing on other artists’ albums. She lent her voice to the title track on GZA’s Beneath The Surface, and guested on “Too Late” by Talib Kweli & Hi Tek for their record Reflection Eternal.
