While former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr played on most of the album’s tracks, he’s not joining Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe on the tour.

On Valentine’s Day the Pet Shop Boys have the privilege of headlining at the NME Carling show in London. The event is a monthlong celebration of NME’s 50th anniversary. Other artists preforming at The Astoria are Aphex Twin (February 6); And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Clinic, The Faint (7); Starsailor, Ed Harcourt (8); Bubba Sparxxx (9); Andrew WK, Lostprophets, The Coral, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (10); Nickelback, Rival Schools, Backyard Babies (12), and the Doves (21).

Earlier this year, the Boys masterminded the gay-centric Wotapalava touring festival. The outing was to feature Rufus Wainwright, Soft Cell, The Magnetic Fields and of course Pet Shop Boys but the tour was nixed at the last minute.
