McCartney Goes Drivin’
Paul McCartney is firming up plans for his first major tour of North America in about 10 years. While exact dates and venues are still being worked out, the Drivin’ USA venture is expected to begin in California in April and work its way East, with a stop in Canada.
“I’m very excited to be getting back on the road, playing with a new band and including in the show some songs that I haven’t played live before,” said McCartney.
At the recent New York launch of fiancee Heather Mills’ modeling contract, McCartney said that the tour would include two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.
McCartney also has plans of touring Europe in May after his 14-date U.S. stint. This is all in support of his latest album, Driving Rain, which was released last November. Driving Rain is McCartney’s first album in four years.
The last time McCartney toured America was in 1993 for his New World Tour.
