Confused? Here’s the low-down: The Gorillaz are basically a cartoon band. “You don’t see live musicians except in silhouette, sometimes, and the rest of the time it’s a succession of animations featuring the band,” explains co-creator and band “member,” Damon Albarn, who is best known as a member of Brit pop-rock band, Blur.

The theatre shows – to be held in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, London and Montreal – will feature a screen with footage taken from the Gorillaz’s Toronto performance. The event will be preceded with a short documentary on the band.

Tickets for the February 24 show go on sale on the 15th and are available at participating Famous Players Theatres for $15 a pop. Show times are at 4:00 p.m. except for Calgary and Edmonton, where they start things at 5:00.
