Lil’ Romeo released his self-titled debut album last year. The first single from Lil’ Romeo, “My Baby,” earned the 11-year-old rapper a No. 1 position on the charts – something many seasoned artists are still striving for.

Although still in grade school, Lil’ Romeo shows promise beyond his years. As a youngster, he started writing rhymes and quickly caught the attention of his father’s business ear. Master P, CEO of No Limit records, got his son into the studio and the result was a clean-cut rap album for kids.

For parents who fear Lil’ Romeo is setting a poor example for kids, encouraging them to quit school and become musicians, they have only to look at the artist’s report card. Straight A’s show that Lil’ Romeo is dedicated to making the grade in the classroom as well.

“I am enjoying doing music and going on the road, but I know that my education comes first,” he says.

In addition to his musical career, Lil’ Romeo is also one of the best junior hoopsters in the country. He’s played in the AAU national championship and been given MVP status at a Michael Jordan basketball camp.

Somewhere in between writing state history reports and studying for the spelling quiz, Lil’ Romeo found time to hit the studio once more and is anticipating a summer release of his sophomore album, Gametime. He and his dad are also set to star in a Nickelodeon sitcom, “Pieces To The Puzzle,” sometime this spring.
