Garbage have six shows in and around the U.K. during the first part of April, after which they play Germany, the Netherlands and France before crossing over to the States. Toward the end of June, after the U.S. tour, they join up with the Red Hot Chili Peppers for two gigs in France.

With hits like “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Stupid Girl” and “Queer,” Garbage have enjoyed moderate success in the States since their 1995 debut. The group was initially formed by producers Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker for a jam session. Eventually, they signed vocalist Shirley Manson on and became a full-fledged band.

Other than a brief stint with U2 last year, Garbage haven’t toured the States since 1999 when they supported Alanis Morissette. They released their third album, Beautiful Garbage, last year.
