Along with viewing the performances, fans will have the opportunity to check out Copperfield’s collection of the history of the Art Of Magic and allied arts – the world’s largest collection of such artifacts. Included in the collection are Houdini’s first magic wand and the only known recording of Houdini’s voice.

With AFLAC sponsoring the tour, Copperfield will incorporate the company’s mascot, the AFLAC duck, into each performance.

Part of Copperfield’s performance will include the Unknown Dimension, in which 13 audience members will be chosen to disappear in a “fiery blast,” some to reappear miles away.

“It’s time for magic’s post-modern period,” Copperfield explained. “Taking 13 people out of their lives, making them vanish with the real chance they may come back miles from home, has never been tried until now. There’s also the element of wish fulfillment. We had an audience member who vanished and wound up on a soccer field in Buenos Aries, face to face with his favorite soccer player.”

The Unknown Dimension also features Copperfield flying solo as he performs the signature effect it took him seven years to develop. Along side pieces like “Flying” are new illusions including “Test Conditions,” performed under brightly lit lab specifications on a stage stripped to the essentials. The illusion uses no smoke, no mirrors and no trap doors.
