The first leg (yes, there’ll be two parts!) of the tour begins May 16 in Tupelo, Miss., and travels to various shed venues through July. After a brief break at the end of July, the guys expect to hit the road again for the second half of their road trip. Dates for that have not been announced yet.

This isn’t the first time Poison has rounded up fellow spandex-loving rockers. Since 1999, they’ve recruited bands like Dokken, Ratt, Great White, L.A. Guns and Slaughter for summer stints.

Last year’s Glam Slam Metal Jam outing was canceled when Poison bassist Bobby Dall had emergency back surgery in August. The group had managed to fit in some stage time beforehand with Warrant and Enuff Z’Nuff during June and July.

Poison are rumored to be releasing a new album sometime this year, but details have been kept under wraps.
