High-Five For Willie Nelson

The special April 14 show in Nashville saluting Willie Nelson will feature performances by top artists. Of the many musicians participating in the Willie And Friends event, which will be taped for a May 6 broadcast on A&E, are Dave Matthews, Brian McKnight, Jon Bon Jovi, Aaron Neville, Norah Jones, Hank (Williams) III, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Ryan Adams, Lyle Lovett and matchbox twenty. Those performing will be supported by former Dire Straits vocalist Mark Knopfler’s band.

Tickets go on sale on March 16. Those who purchase a $75 ticket to Nelson’s April 12 show will receive one free ticket to the April 14 taping. Both will be held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Nelson is currently on the road in the States through mid-May. Beginning June 1, he’ll hit up the U.K. for 17 shows before going on to tour Europe for the rest of the month.
