While the group regularly packs out arenas around their native Canada, commercial success in the States has been a bit harder to come by. Singles like “Courage” and “Wheat Kings” fared well in select areas around the U.S. in the ‘90s, but overall, The Tragically Hip have remained absent from the U.S. radio charts.

Nevertheless, thanks to the band’s tight grooves and their reputation for a good show, The Tragically Hip developed a dedicated American following and have embarked on several successful tours throughout the States.

The band drops their eight and latest album, In Violet Light, June 11.
