Goo Goo Dolls Tour
New York rockers Goo Goo Dolls are making the theatre rounds this summer. For the first time in nearly two years, the band will tour North America. The group kicks things off May 23 in Houston with Sense Field supporting through June 4. Five For Fighting pick up the remaining dates, staying onboard until the tour wraps July 2 in Seattle.
The Goo Goo Dolls are touring in support of their seventh studio album, Gutterflower, which was released in April. Gutterflower follows the band’s multi-platinum record Dizzy Up The Girl, which spawned such hits as “Iris,” “Slide,” “Black Balloon” and “Broadway.”
Along with their tour, Goo Goo Dolls will play the annual Summer Concert Series for The Today Show on June 7th. Other artists already announced for the solstice Friday morning events include Marc Anthony, Celine Dion, Shakira, David Bowie, Will Smith, Carole King, Dixie Chicks, and Santana, among others.
Tickets for the Goo Goo Dolls tour are already on sale, in the bargain $20-some-odd price range.
