Dates have been leaking out slowly and now an official North American tour has been announced for the month of August. Currently, only East Coast shows are booked, with the first ticket on-sale beginning May 31.

The band’s official Web site, www.oasisinet.com, is teaming up with local radio stations in the North American tour-stops to give fans the chance to pre-order tickets. Details will be announced on the site.

Prior to their Stateside return – the first since last summer’s trek with the Black Crowes – Oasis will be jetting around Europe, making many festival stops, some of which have already sold out.

Swedish band Soundtrack Of Our Lives are the special guests for Oasis’ June European dates, as well as the Belfast Odyssey Arena and Hull Arena shows in the U.K.

Last year marked Oasis’ 10-year anniversary, to the amazement of many fans and critics. The Gallagher brothers are notorious for their public spats and have threatened to quit the band on several occasions. But, it appears age has slightly mellowed the two. Their joint tour with the Black Crowes in 2001 had many taking bets on whether the Robinson or Gallagher brothers would be the first to get into fisticuffs, but to the amazement of many, the outing was row-free.

Oasis are supporting their latest album, Heathen Chemistry, which is due out in July.
