The group – comprising members Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Jimmy Bower (Corrosion Of Conformity), III (a.k.a. Hank Williams III), Kevin Bond (Demonseeds) and Joe Fazzio (from III’s AssJack band) – launches its assault on clubs beginning June 7.

“Superjoint is that band with the perfect 15-year-old mentality of having everything loud, everything on 10, getting loaded and letting whatever happens, happen,” said Bower. “We just go with it and have a good time.”

Superjoint Ritual’s debut record, Use Once And Destroy, hits stores May 21. As to what fans can expect from the new album, Anselmo said, “You’re dealing with a bunch of f***ing different emotions coming out of me.

“The lyrical content is pretty f***ing extreme on this record and I think the music really calls for that. It sounds like a really violent car wreck.”
