Moe. Or Les
Jam bands moe. and Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade will share the spotlight at their tour’s end for the Moe. Or Les Festival and campout. The two groups have 10 shows planned for the East Coast from June 27 through mid-July, with the final two held at Wilmer’s Park in Brandywine, Md.
The two-night musical slugfest is set for July 12-13 and also features performances by Lake Trout, Yonder Mountain String Band, Strangefolk, Jazz Mandolin Project, The Recipe, Project/Object, All Mighty Senators and others along with moe. and Les, of course.
Moe. will treat festivalgoers to four sets during the weekend.
In addition to hosting the Moe. Or Les Festival, Wilmer’s Park will see the Disco Biscuits in the form of Camp Bisco III: Senor Boombox August 23-24, and the Summer of Love fest over Labor Day weekend featuring the Dark Star Orchestra recreating an entire Grateful Dead show each night.
The park has undergone extensive renovations for its 50th anniversary, which it celebrates this season. Among the upgrades are a newly renovated, 6,000-square foot banquet and concert hall. Tickets for Moe. Or Les are $55 advance and $70 at the gate, with kids under age 12 free with accompanying adult.
