A handful of scattered August shows in North America are also on the books.

Orton’s recent stint in the States during May and June saw her playing to packed houses nearly every night. Fans had been waiting more than two years for her return to the North American stage – her last tour having been during 2000 when she supported Beck. Orton was forced to take time off due to complications from Crohn’s Disease shortly after that outing.

Along with a new tour, the singer is celebrating her soon-to-be-released album, Daybreaker, which hits shelves at the end of July. Daybreaker is Orton’s third album and already has the critics buzzing in anticipation.

With artists like Ryan Adams, The Chemical Brothers, Johnny Marr, and Emmylou Harris guesting, Daybreaker looks to continue Orton’s reputation as both folkie and chilled-out electronica queen.
