Goodie Mob Member In Car Crash
Goodie Mob member Khujo was seriously injured in a car crash in Atlanta June 25. A spokesperson for his record label, Arista, confirmed reports that the rapper had fallen asleep at the wheel, but did not elaborate on the details of the accident or if anybody else sustained injuries.
The spokesperson also said the accident took place Tuesday (June 25), despite reports that the crash had happened the day before.
Due to the extent of his injuries, Khujo’s right leg had to be amputated. Initial reports indicated that both legs would possibly have to be amputated, but an Arista spokesperson said that was no longer the case. Khujo was said to be in good spirits.
Word of his accident was announced at the BET Awards, which took place the same day in Los Angeles. Outkast member Big Boi broke the news in a backstage press forum.
Goodie Mob are on hiatus as members pursue solo careers. Cee-Lo recently wrapped a tour with Musiq and dropped his debut solo album. The group’s last album was 1999’s World Party.
