A chunk of dates in the middle of the month will be spent sharing the stage with Vida Blue. Lead by Phish member Page McConnell, Vida Blue comprises Oteil Burbridge of Allman Brothers Band fame and Russell Batiste of Funky Meters. The band has a July packed with gigs to promote their self-titled debut album, which recently hit shelves.

Since their formation as high school students in the early’90s, The Slip have honed their craft to become a fan favorite within the jam band community. While their roots are in rock, jazz and world rhythms, the band believes their uniqueness is in their ability to take a song to the edge of chaos and back.

“I feel that we’re more a modern representation of roots music,” said bassist Marc Friedman.

In their time together, The Slip has released three albums – Angels Come On Time being the most recent – and toured alongside the likes of Bela Fleck And The Flecktones, Charlie Hunter, Maceo Parker, and Les Claypool.
