Earlier this summer, P-Roach made the radio festival rounds promoting their new album, lovehatetragedy. To kick off their promotional stint, the group took over the roof of a Best Buy store in Los Angeles June 18 for a sort-of free show. Admission was granted to fans who had purchased the new record. The radio shows marked the first time out Papa Roach had been on the road since last year’s Ozzfest.

Led by emotive frontman Jacoby Shaddix (formerly known as Coby Dick) – who has been known to display his intensity by puking onstage – the Roach hit the airwaves and stages in the late ‘90s full-force thanks to the surprising success of their debut, Old Friends From Young Years.

By time their second album, Infest, hit shelves in 2000, Papa Roach had staked their claim in the hard rock world. A support slot on the Limp Bizkit package tour followed and before they knew it, the band was headlining their own theatre trek.
