The record, which has yet to be titled, is set for release September 17, shortly after the start of Iglesias’ two-month North American arena tour. The first single from the album, “Mentiroso,” which translates to “liar,” is set to hit airwaves soon.

AOL is offering exclusive presale tickets to fans. For a few hours from Wednesday to Thursday each week that new shows go on sale, AOL will run a presale opportunity for its members.

Iglesias has been touring the world in support of his Escape album, which came out last October. The 20-date tour raked in $4.4 million in ticket sales and found him at No. 33 on POLLSTAR’s 2002 Mid-Year Top 50 Tours list.

SoundScan figures put Escape at nearly 3 million copies sold, a figure which was no doubt helped along by the hit single “Hero.” Iglesias was just nominated for two MTV Music Video Awards for “Hero.”
