The lineup is as eclectic as ever, with a who’s who of rock, hip-hop, electronica, and pop signed on. Some of the artists include Bad Religion, De La Soul, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Flogging Molly, The Roots, Nickelback, Busta Rhymes, Kottonmouth Kings, and Eek A Mouse.

Special guests are also planned, including some star players for a Jimi Hendrix Tribute, but have yet to be announced.

Along with mainstage acts, there will be an electronica tent, featuring a cutting-edge sound system and light show. Performers include The Crystal Method, BT (DJ set), and Rabbit In The Moon, among others.

This year’s Street Scene boasts giant LED screens on both sides of the main stage, providing every attendee with a close-up view of their favorite artist.

In response to last year’s record-breaking attendance of more than 100,000, Street Scene 2002 will occupy a much larger footprint in downtown San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter and East Village, with plenty of room in front of and in between the stages.

Tickets are already onsale and range from $40 – $85, depending on number of days purchased.
