This marks the second time the Doves are treating U.S. fans to their new tunes this year. Earlier this summer, they linked up with fellow Northern England band Elbow for a short outing of Stateside clubs and sold out every stop.

Speaking of second go-arounds, Doves have just been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for the second time. Although they’ve only released two albums as Doves – during their early years the then-dance trio was known as Sub Sub – both their debut album, Lost Souls, and the recent The Last Broadcast found their way onto the highly respected prize’s shortlist.

This time around, the Manchester band is tipped as the front runner for taking home the Prize. Other nominees for the award include The Coral, Gemma Hayes, David Bowie, and The Streets, who share equal favor with Doves to win.
