Pork Tornado
A Pork Tornado is gearing up to blow through clubs across the U.S. Featuring Phish drummer Jon Fishman, the greased up quintet – which also includes Dan Archer (guitar), Aaron Hersey (bass), Phil Abair (keyboards), and Joe Moore (sax) – will cut a swath from East Coast to West Coast and back again, starting October 9 and wrapping November 14.
Fellow Vermonters the Seth Yacovone Band will open the first eight and last three shows.
Since Phish’s extended hiatus began nearly two years ago, various band members have sought the spotlight with their side projects. Page McConnell fronts his
Port Tornado’s self-titled debut album hits stores October 1. The band is giving fans a chance to pre-order the disc and get their name in the hat for some goodies. Those who order the album in advance through phish.com will be eligible to win the Boss Hogg grand prize or one of five Piglet prizes.
The lucky winner of the Boss Hogg prize nabs four tickets to the Pork show of their choice and two pounds of – what else? – a mess of smoked pork loin ribs. The five piglets will each win one pair of tickets to a Pork show.
