Even though they’re a successful rock band, the guys in Ween still have to shell out for medical insurance just like the rest of us. So, when drummer Claude Coleman was seriously injured in a car accident, his bandmates decided to do what they could to help out with medical costs.

Two Concerts For Claude are planned for the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, October 7-8. Tickets for the event go on sale September 11 and are $35, with the proceeds going to help Coleman’s medical bills.

Coleman was injured in a car accident August 7 while in New Jersey. His pelvis was broken in several places (ouch!), necessitating surgery.

According to a post on the band’s Web site, he is “expected to have a full recovery after a lot of time and rehabilitation/therapy.”

The band had been working on their eighth studio album.
