After nearly four months of international touring, the rocker is wrapping his road stint with five intimate shows in NYC. Dubbed the New York City Marathon Tour, Bowie will perform five nights in five different venues in each of New York’s five boroughs.

Following the route of the NYC Marathon, he’ll kick off the tour October 11 in Staten Island before moving to Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan.

After the marathon route, Bowie will play two more shows – one in Philadelphia and the last in Boston – to round out his tour plans.

“The last time I came through the Northeast it was on the Area 2 tour,” Bowie said. “We played amphitheatres, which are usually a good distance from the major cities. Marathon courses are strategically planned to bring the runners to the streets.

“I would like to repay the fans that traveled so far to see me by bringing my shows to them. But most importantly, I could get home from all the gigs on roller skates.”

Venues for the tour range in size from 300 to 2,900-capacity, giving fans a truly up-close-and-personal experience with the legendary musician.

Tickets go on sale October 4. There will be a special pre-sale to BowieNet members through davidbowie.com.
