As an added bonus, the band is keeping tickets at an ultra-low $10. The only way to purchase tickets is through the band’s official Web site – sum41.com – and they appear to only be available October 19.

The band’s U.S. gigs start October 31 in Dallas. Aside from a spot on the , all dates will feature pure, unadulterated Sum 41 through November 30. Prior to the Sum On Your Face tour, the group will be wreaking havoc in Australia and Japan.

Forming while the members were still in high school, Sum 41 started as most bands do – by playing in friends’ basements and at local cafes. A couple of years later, they were signed to a record label and released their first EP, Half Hour Of Power, in 2000.

With the delivery of their EP, Sum 41 hit the ground running. That year, they snatched support slots with Fenix-TX, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Face To Face, and Catch 22. Already making a name for themselves back in Canada, Sum 41 looked south to conquer the States.

In 2001, they released their full-length debut, All Killer No Filler, which contained the hit single “Fat Lip.” Loaded with catchy punk/pop tunes and an appetite for pranks, Sum 41 were set to join the majors.

In addition to gigging with Blink-182 and The Offspring, a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, and an opening slot at the MTV 20th Anniversary show, Sum 41 have established themselves as true rock stars with their own personal rock salute – four fingers on the right hand, and the middle finger up on the left.

The band’s new album, Does This Look Infected?, will hit shelves November 26.
