After the tour wraps at the end of November, the band will take the next month off and then head into the studio to begin work on their next album. They just released their eighth disc, Live – What You And I Have Been Through, which serves as a “best of” from the band’s career.

Blues Traveler have been fairly inactive this year, considering their touring history. They’ve ventured out on a mini-tour with Leftover Salmon and Lake Trout, but haven’t matched 2001’s schedule, which had them on the road for the better part of six months.

Frontman and harmonica player extraordinaire, John Popper, recently MC’d at the Jammy Awards held in New York City. In addition to hosting the event – for the second time – Popper, in true jam band style, joined in with various groups throughout the evening.
