Helping the Cheese out are Michael Franti & Spearhead, Gomez, and Keller Williams. Concert-goers are invited to dress up in costumes from any and every era – past, present, and future – as they explore the concept of time along with the bands.

The Time Traveler’s Ball is put together by Peak Experience Productions, which have helped out in past String Cheese Incident galas. Peak Experience are known for breaking new ground in building creative, inspirational, educational, and audience-participatory musical extravaganzas.

The Cheese have developed a habit of putting on these family-friendly end-of-the-year extravaganzas. Last year, they met up with G. Love & Special Sauce, Taj Mahal, and Keller Williams for a three-night run at the same location.

The year before was 2001: A String Cheese Odyssey, with each night sporting a different theme – water, earth, and space. Attendees were treated to a visual as well as an aural feast with stilt walkers, world champion hula hoopers, jugglers, snake dancers, contortionists, puppets, floats and other festivities in the mix.

Tickets for the Time Traveler’s Ball are on sale through Ticketmaster. Three-day passes go for $120, while single-day passes for the 28th and 29th are $32.50. The December 31 show is $60. Kids under 12 are half price and under the age of two are free.
