The ninth annual Hometown Throwdown takes over the Axis Club from December 11-14. The last gig is an all-ages matinee performance, which means the four earlier concerts are 18-plus.

Tickets are $15 and are available through nextticketing.com/axis, for the online savvy.

The Hometown Throwdown goes way back to ‘94 when the Bosstones wanted to come up with a way to say thanks to their home city of Boston.

Along with some rude tunes by the Bosstones, concert-goers can expect to be treated to a wacky party-like scene with plastic Santas, dancing Menorahs and a holiday-themed backdrop by the stage.

Special guest bands are expected to give performances – you never know who will show up. Past artists include Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and H20, to name a few.
