The band said in a statement on its Web site that a concert in Duesseldorf, scheduled for Tuesday night, and a Thursday gig that was to be held in the northern city of Bremen had “reluctantly” been postponed.

Gallagher’s injuries already led the band to cancel concerts in Munich on Sunday and Hamburg on Monday.

“The damage to Liam’s teeth is worse than it first appeared and he will have to return to the United Kingdom for surgery before he will be able to perform again,” the statement said.

Three members of the group, including Gallagher and drummer Alan White, were detained early Sunday morning following a fight with a group of Italians in a Munich nightclub. They were released after posting bail.

Prosecutors in Munich were looking into whether to press charges for assault, resisting arrest and damage to property following the fight, during which police said Gallagher kicked an officer who was kneeling down and the officer was slightly injured.

Gallagher broke his front teeth in the brawl and two other musicians and a bodyguard were also injured.
