But first things first. Public-supported TV station, PBS, is hosting yet another Yanni special this month. The show was recorded last year and features Yanni with band and full symphony playing London’s Royal Albert Hall. Also included are clips of his family home in Greece and recording studio in Florida.

Next comes the release of Yanni’s 13th album, Ethnicity, and his first-ever book – a collection of memoirs. Both will be released sometime in February, whetting fans’ appetites for the tour, which launches March 1 in Las Vegas.

Included on the tour is a two-night stand at Phoenix’s Dodge Theatre at the end of April.

Yanni regularly packs theatres and music halls around the world, although this is his first tour in four years. His last tour saw him playing the Taj Mahal and China’s Forbidden City, becoming the first Western artist to play those exotic locales.

The last album he released was 2000’s If I Could Tell You.
