Kansas link up with Styx from January 22 onward, while Waite, um, waits a few days til the 28th.

Styx will again be fronted by guitarists/vocalists James “JY” Young and Tommy Shaw, along with bassist Glen Burtnik, keyboardist Lawrence Gowan and drummer Todd Sucherman.

They’ve made it onto POLLSTAR’s Top 50 Tour lists over the past year or so – first for a co-bill with Bad Company and then for one with REO Speedwagon, with whom they’ve been touring this year.

Somewhere in between all the touring, Styx managed to make it into the recording studio and get some album work done. Cyclorama is scheduled for release in February.

Kansas continue to support their latest project – a double CD and live DVD called Device Voice Drum. The set finds Steve Walsh, Robby Steinhardt, Richard Williams, Billy Greer and Phil Ehart playing Kansas hits including “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Point Of Know Return” during a concert filmed in June.

This will be Waite’s first outing since his solo tour last year.
