On Scarlet’s Walk
Amos’ longtime collaborators Jon Evans and Matt Chamberlain who play bass and drums/percussion, respectively, are expected to join the songstress on tour. There’s no word on opening acts yet. Howie Day supported for the first On Scarlet’s Walk outing.
At the start of her fall outing last year, it had been one year since audiences had a live view of Amos. Her previous tour was in support of Strange Little Girls, an album of unique cover songs that marked the end of her long relationship with Atlantic Records.
Amos’ latest disc, Scarlet’s Walk, is “a sonic novel in which each song represents a specific stop on the way across America. The central figure on the album is Scarlet, a woman who crisscrosses the country in search of answers, in search of herself,” much like Amos is doing on her tour.
