Ain’t No Holiday Here
Last year, the band supported Hoobastank, Our Lady Peace, Default, and Injected. The schedule kept Greenwheel on the road and in front of the fans for most of 2002.
All that exposure is paying off. With their rocking live shows, Greenwheel have people talking. Rumor has it the band are a hard act to follow, which could be why they’ve ditched the support slot and are heading out on a headlining tour in February.
The band formed at the end of the ‘90s in St. Charles, Mo., with the original name of Hindsight, which was soon changed to Soma Holiday. It’s said lead singer Ryan Jordan gave this band one year to make it in the music business or else he’d go back to college. Needless to say, Jordan has yet to return to school.
As to their goal, guitarist Andrew Dwiggins said, “We want to be continuously growing with each other and the music, always saying something. That’s what we’ll always strive for. Whether we sell a ton of records or not, the music always comes first.”
Greenwheel are supporting Saliva through February 1.
