Along for the ride are fellow Chemikal Underground label-mates Aereogramme, who will appear on all dates. Aereogramme and The Delgados just wrapped a tour of the U.K. The former are currently getting ready for another round of British clubs in March and promise to have another go in May and then on to Europe after that.

The Delgados kick things off April 4 in Toronto and make their way south for a total of 11 shows.

A few weeks after wrapping things on this side of the pond, The Delgados will head back home for a benefit concert at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall. The May 17 gig is the first of two nights of music planned by Concern For Scotland and the Sunday Herald. The concerts, which also feature Belle & Sebastian on the 17th, are being organized to highlight the desperate famine situation in Ethiopia.

“At the time when the world’s priorities have never been more dubious or misplaced, it is a privilege to be involved in a cause which is good and just on every level,” Delgados bassist Stewart Henderson said. “We are delighted to be lending our support to the efforts of Concern and the challenges they face on a daily basis.”
