It looks like the band will stick to their homeland for the rest of the year, although confirmed dates run through the end of August for now.

Last year’s tour was only slightly less ambitious. Status Quo played from October straight through the end of the year, clearing Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the U.K. Then, come February of this year, they tackled Brazil, Mexico, North America, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

For a band that’s been around for 30 years, that Status Quo can still play the arena circuit is nothing short of, well, amazing. They’ve not only managed to maintain a healthy fanbase, but have consistently released hit albums. According to one report, by the mid-‘90s, the band had racked up 50 British hit singles – more than any other band in the history of rock.

Status Quo’s latest album, Heavy Traffic, was released last year and finds the band visiting their usual musical territory, much to the delight of their long-standing fans.
