It’s Beginning To Look Like Summer
Summer’s fast approaching for the Northern Hemisphere and all Parrotheads know what that means: it’s time for Jimmy Buffett‘s annual solstice tour.
Coinciding with his tour launch April 15, Buffett will be releasing his first two-disc retrospective, Meet Me In Margaritaville: The Ultimate Collection. The album spans 30 years of the singer’s career (1973-2003) and features 39 digitally mastered selections.
Accompanying the CDs is a 32-page booklet with liner notes by long-time friend and photographer Tom Corcoran. Buffett also dishes out some info about specific songs.
If this year’s tour is like Buffett’s previous ones, there’s bound to be more shows added, either to fill in the blanks – the whole month of May is available – or more tacked on after August. Last year, he was on the road through the start of October.
