To celebrate, Roth is hitting the road on his Tour Of The Worlds. The tour title seems to hint at international dates, although the first leg is strictly North American shows.

The four-month-long tour revs into high gear with a launch May 24 at the NASCAR / Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. Dates on schedule the run through September and include five shows in Canada. A second leg will run through October.

Roth is expected to perform songs from Diamond Dave, along with his cache of classics from his previous five albums.

The new album features covers of artists including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Savoy Brown and Steve Miller.

“This is where I went to school. I grew up specifically imitating these songs,” Roth told RollingStone.com. “If you wanted to sing low, you copied Hendrix. If you wanted to growl, you copied Jim Morrison. I’ve done every one of these songs a thousand times in front of the mirror.”

And we bet he sang with a hairbrush.
