It’s Shock’n Y’All
The itinerary has Keith on the road through the end of September, although more dates are expected to be added to bring the total number of stops up to more than 60 cities. Blake Shelton is the opening act for the tour.
Ford is sponsoring the tour as part of its launch of the all-new F-150 truck. The truck will arrive in dealer showrooms this fall, but fans attending Keith’s concerts will have an opportunity to see a one-of-a-kind version at the shows.
“Last year’s Toby Keith ‘Ford Truck Man’ advertising campaign really struck a chord with our customers,” Rich Stoddart of Ford said. “Toby truly is ‘Built Ford Tough’ both on- and off-stage. We are extremely pleased that we are continuing to strengthen our relationship with him.”
Keith found himself on POLLSTAR’s 2002 year-end ticket sales chart, weighing in at No. 7 with more than 768,000 tickets sold. The slot also made him the top ticket-selling country artist. And it’s no wonder. Keith was on the road for the whole of the year, packing arenas throughout the States.
He’s been touring the arena circuit since the start of this year as well, selling out most shows. At this rate, Keith looks to be a strong contender to repeat last year’s impressive ticket sales numbers.
Keith’s latest album has done equally well. Unleashed was certified platinum two times over and is continuing to sell well thanks to hits including “Who’s Your Daddy?” and “Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American).”
