Since forming in Fort Worth in 1995, American Analog Set have gathered a sizable following and toured with indie stalwarts like Mogwai and Death Cab For Cutie.

They’ve also put out five albums and an EP. Although they have supposedly been on hiatus due to frontman Mark Kenny’s graduate studies, their latest full-length, Promise of Love, was released May 20 on the Tiger Style label.

In addition, Kenny recently collaborated with Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard for the latest installment of Post-Parlo Records’ HOME series of split CDs. The two did a mini-tour earlier this year, and Kenny also appeared solo at the South By Southwest festival.

American Analog Set last toured in the summer of 2002, when they took one-man-band Her Space Holiday on a Stateside trek. This time around, a variety of bands are scheduled to open, including Certainly, Sir on June 20-24.
