He last performed on American shores in 2001, when he did a sold-out gig at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall and also made an appearance at the Coachella Festival. His planned tour for the fall of that year was cancelled due to illness.

Although North American fans of the drill-n-bass virtuoso have been waiting nearly ten years for a Squarepusher tour, many may remain out of luck as the announced itinerary comprises a scant seven dates.

The trek starts in Chicago on July 18. After a New York gig, he heads to Canada for a couple shows and then it’s off to the West Coast. The modest proposal wraps in Seattle July 26.

Luke Vibert, occasionally known as Wagon Christ, will be joining Squarepusher on the road to push his upcoming Warp release, reportedly titled YosephH.

Squarepusher’s latest recording, Do You Know Squarepusher?, was released last fall.
