The seven-song EP, The Way We Get By, is reportedly due out August 8, but it looks like it’ll only be available in the U.K.

“I don’t think the EP will be coming out in the States,” Spoon frontman Britt Daniel told Billboard back at the end of May. “Of the radio performances, some of them are me solo – like ‘Metal Detector,’ ‘I Am The Key,’ and ‘Advance Cassette’ – and the rest are with the full band. The songs were done over the past two years at Music Choice in London and WNYU and WFMU in New York.”

So, North American fans, here’s a tour to pacify you. Spoon are currently out on the road and will be stopping by theatres in major cities across the U.S., as well as playing a gig up in Vancouver, B.C. Pedro The Lion support for a handful of the beginning shows.

The next-to-the-last show, held at the Castle Clinton National Monument in Battery Park July 24, is gonna be a freebie. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5 p.m. on the day of the show, with a two ticket limit.
