Almost Alone … And Then Some
The itinerary finds Yoakam in major cities as well as off-the-beaten-path places, including stops in Durango (Colo.), Ruston (La.), Kennesaw (Ga.), and Robinsonville (Miss.). He’ll be playing the range of venues, from amphitheatres to casinos, parks, clubs, wineries, county fairs, theatres, festivals, theme parks and even a country store.
Yoakam has been touring behind his latest release, Population: Me. The disc also marks his first project on his own label, Electrodisc Records, and features a duet with Willie Nelson.
In non-music-related news, Yoakam received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Sure, he’s a Grammy-winning singer, but Yoakam is no one to be limited to a set genre. The singer has also starred in films including “Sling Blade,” “Panic Room” and the new “Hollywood Homicide” with Harrison Ford.
