The band, who haven’t toured since 2001, have just inked in another round of shows, keeping them on the road from mid-September through the end of October.

After paying special attention to fans on the West Coast in earlier tour efforts this year, Built To Spill are tackling Eastern venues this time around. The itinerary has the band playing well-known establishments in major cities.

According to reports, the group will most likely preview material from their next studio album, although release information for that has yet to be announced and the band’s Web site is still touting their 2001 album, Ancient Melodies Of The Future.

Current information on Built To Spill is hard to come by. Main man Doug Martsch put out a solo disc, Now You Know, and had a few dates of his own last October. Other than that, the band has been mum on what they’re up to.
