Blown Off
Hootie & The Blowfish have decided to postpone their July 24 show at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom. The gig was to kick-start the band’s tour. It looks like Atlantic City will be the first stop now.
The NYC show was put off because of ongoing local labor disputes.
“We are extremely disappointed that we will not be performing tonight in New York City but we, as a band, are not willing to cross the picket line made up of people that we work with on a daily basis,” the band said in a statement. “We expect to reschedule this show in the very near future when circumstances are more favorable.”
Hootie’s tour plans include stops at several festivals and fairgrounds around the South as the band plays on through October.
