Party On, Lone Wolf
W.K.’s The Wolf looks to be released September 9 – just one week ahead of his tour end, which wraps in Florida. He’s currently on the Vans Warped Tour countdown, which has only a handful of shows remaining, and will launch his headlining outing August 16.
High On Fire and Vaux are slated as support for the whole of the journey. Both acts are relative newbies; High On Fire is the veteran of the two with a couple road ventures under their touring belts.
As to what fans can expect from W.K.’s latest effort, in his words to Entertainment Weekly, the singer describes The Wolf as “pure unadulterated triumph, unmitigated glory, absolute complete euphoria, melodic ecstasy, and true human victory.”
“This album is a direct dedication to the people who love the music that we’re making,” W.K. said recently. “Not necessarily just about my music; just passionate people who love music.
“My main goal here is to satisfy people.”
And if you can’t wait to get your hands on The Wolf, then just turn the TV up. That’s W.K.’s song you’re hearing on the Kit Kat commercial.
