The band is slated to take over the Michigan International Speedway August 16, following the Cabela 250 NASCAR race. In addition to giving a concert, the group has also lent their name to Tony Stewart’s car, which is decorated in a “3 Doors Down paint scheme.”

Stewart, along with Dale Earnhardt Jr., recently appeared in the band’s video, “The Road I’m On.”

“On behalf of the entire band, we’re real excited to be playing at Michigan International Speedway directly after our car makes its racing debut,” lead singer Brad Arnold said. “The fans at this show will get double the fun – an exciting day of racing and a 3 Doors Down show.

“This is the band’s first appearance on a race car, so I hope we’re the luck charm for Tony when he races at Michigan.”

Tickets are still available for the Cabela 250 and include both entrance to the race and the concert. All seats are $50, with kids under 12 admitted free.

This is the second such post-race concert announced for NASCAR, making what appears to be a new trend. Sugar Ray, Hootie & The Blowfish, Trapt, Franky Perez, and Uncle Kracker have all signed on to perform during the big race weekend September 5-6 at Richmond International Speedway in Virginia.
