Hot Hot Heat Wave
Hot Hot Heat are in a touring frenzy. Canada’s finest hyperactive indie-popsters are currently storming through Europe, where they’ll follow a string of U.K. dates with some festival gigs around the continent. They’ve got Scottish sensations Franz Ferdinand in tow for the U.K. run.
Following those dates, they’ll jump over to the States for a few weeks’ worth of shows, including five in Southern California. Before you know it, they’ll be back on British soil, where they’ve got shows scheduled through early November.
Hot Hot Heat had a scorching year in 2002, touring with The Walkmen and the Dismemberment Plan before winning critical plaudits and a fervent fanbase with their full-length Sub Pop debut, Make Up The Breakdown.
Though they signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. last winter, don’t go checking your record store just yet. The way these kids keep touring, it could be a while before the suits get them back in the studio.
